In Ticino, maternity has a long and established tradition under the name of Sant'Anna Clinic. Since its founding in 1934, the clinic has had the mission to accompany and assist women with childbirth.
This tradition spanning more than 54,000 births is renewed every day with the birth of new babies. In 2015 nearly 900 newborns came into the world, representing just under one third of births for the entire canton. The majority of births are by residents, but there are also many pregnant women from abroad who decide to give birth to their child in the safety of our clinic on the beautiful Sorengo hill.
