In Ticino, Sant'Anna Clinic represents a longstanding and well-established maternity tradition. Since it was founded in 1934, the clinic has lived out its vocation of supporting and assisting women with childbirth.
This tradition, which has now seen over 54,000 births, is exercised afresh every day with the birth of new babies. In 2015 we brought over 800 newborns into the world, equal to just under one third of births for the entire Canton. The majority of births are by residents, but there are also many pregnant women from abroad who decide to give birth to their child in the safety of our clinic on the beautiful hill of Sorengo.
